Why Gran Canaria

An island that works all twelve months of the year

Roque Nublo rising among Canary pines, in the centre of Gran Canaria.
  • A private pool, on no one else’s timetable

A house with a private pool means no sharing with the rest of the complex: no sunlounger to reserve, no opening hours to work around, and children can swim whenever they like. It is the choice families and groups come back for.

  • Mild weather all year round

The Canarian climate means the pool and the terrace work at almost any time of year. Prices are keener in low season without the experience suffering for it.

  • From a one-bed apartment to a villa for eight

The portfolio runs from one-bedroom apartments to four-bedroom villas sleeping eight, so the house can be matched to the real size of the group.

What to see nearby

When to come

Good weather all twelve months

There is no bad season in the south of Gran Canaria, only different stays. These are average daytime highs on the coast; up in the cumbre and in the north of the island the thermometer drops.

  • December – February

    21–23 °C

Sun almost every day while Europe is below freezing. This is when a heated pool and a south-facing terrace stop being an extra.

  • March – May

    22–24 °C

The island is green after the rains. The best time to drive up to the summit, walk the ravines and see the north.

  • June – August

    25–28 °C

Dry heat and the trade wind in the south, with the sea between 21 and 23 °C. Long days for the beach, a boat and whale watching.

  • September – November

    24–26 °C

The sea at its warmest of the year and fewer people on the beaches. September and October are the months of those who come back.
